Before your expedition, your group will agree which participant will provide a mobile phone to be used as the group’s emergency phone.

At the start of the expedition, the phone will be sealed in a waterproof covering to keep it safe and dry. It will remain sealed and should only be accessed and used in an emergency.

This ensures that your group has a phone available if you need to contact the JLGB team, while helping you to stay focused on the expedition and your group’s independence.
