In each expedition group there must be between 5 and 7 people. It is one of the 20 expedition conditions that the Duke of Edinburgh's Award set and there is no leeway on these numbers as they are stipulated to ensure you stay safe on your expedition. This rule applies to all DofE groups nationally.
