How many people are allowed in a group?

A standard DofE expedition group must have between 4 and 7 participants.
- Minimum: 4 participants – This is important for safety. For example, if someone is injured, one person can stay with them while the others get help.
- Maximum: 7 participants – This is the standard maximum group size for DofE walking expeditions.
JLGB will work with your school and organise participants into groups that meet these requirements before the expedition.
