Your health, safety and wellbeing are our highest priority. We take every precaution to make sure that our expeditions are safe, well organised and enjoyable for everyone.
As part of your mandatory expedition training, you will receive basic first aid training. This will give you the knowledge and confidence to deal with a range of minor injuries or situations that may occur during your expedition.
All of our DofE expeditions also have first aid trained staff who are available to provide support if needed.
If there is an emergency during your expedition, your group should contact the Expedition Coordinator using the emergency number provided at the start of the expedition, rather than contacting parents directly. This is important because each group is equipped with a GPS tracker, allowing our staff to accurately locate the group and provide assistance as quickly as possible.
Where necessary, we will contact your parent or guardian using the details provided on your application form.
If you are unable to continue the expedition due to illness or injury, we will contact your parent or guardian and arrange for you to be collected. Not completing an expedition does not necessarily mean that you cannot complete your DofE expedition section. Each situation will be considered individually, taking into account the circumstances and DofE requirements.
